When Bella was close to a year old I took her to the Children's Museum at Cincinnati's historic Union Terminal, also known as the Museum Center. Union Terminal was once a bustling train s
tation with commuter trips as far North as Canada, as far South as Florida, and everywhere in between. But as public transportation changed, as it did every where, Union Terminal was transformed to house three different museums'; National History Museum, Cincinnati History, th

e Children's Museum, and the only Omni Max theater in the city. Bella really enjoyed the different exhibits and activities, and because there is so much to do we spend at least half the day just in the Children's Museum. Now that Sammy can sit up on his own and is crawling along like a Mud Flipper I figured he was ready

to have some fun right along side his big sister. He loved it, especially playing in front of the mirrors. It's a funny thing because at her first visit to the Children's Museum, Bella had so much fun looking at her own reflection that we hung a 3 x 2 foot mirror along the base board of her room. Now that Bella is a little older she can participate in more hands-on activities like sand art or playing in the Water Zone. By the time we left that afternoon, both of them were so worn out that they fell asleep before we even got onto the highway.
